After graduation, I went to KU. After 4 years (2 in Pharmacy school), I "dropped out" to go to UMKC Dental School. After 2 years in general practice in Lawrence, KS I went to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for 2 years to specialize in root canals. I then practiced in Kansas City for 35 years retiring in Oct of 2013. Sailing became my passion and after spending most of my vacations sailing, I took a year off sailing from Florida to Trinidad (near South America) and back stopping at most of the islands in the Caribbean. After retiring we lived aboard for 6 months. Last year we sold the boat and bought an RV. We've been traveling around Florida in it all winter and hope to continue as long as it's fun.

School Story

I have many fond memories of High School some of which I choose not to share. I loved playing in the band. I remember dragging Main, selling shoes at Maxwell's Shoe Store, and the excitement of the basketball team winning the State championship after which I remember driving up and down Main honking our horns until the batteries died.

I really liked math and science. Miss McMullen taught me more about English in Latin class than I did in English. I remember getting cut in basketball in Junior High and not getting into a game as a freshman in football.
I especially enjoyed spending time with my classmates who accepted the geeky farm boy. I don't every recall being bullied or bulling anyone, and if I did, I sincerely apologize.
